The Cirque paintings were inspired by a Cirque du Soleil performance of Varekai in Chicago. These cirque paintings, for me, are an animated metaphor of life’s conditions aligned to our perceptions; mundane, magical, alchemical and ethereal. The images are both energetic and atmospheric with openings and passages leading to new found architecture of the heart and the mind. The paintings are scaffolding for the viewer's personal cirque.
