The sphere has been a familiar image through all ages. Spherical shapes contain both the mundane and ethereal within our perceived notions, the real or the imaginary. As a symbol the sphere primarily means perfection: the total of all possibilities in the world.  It comprises within itself all other shapes, a point which the science of mathematics confirms. The sphere as metaphor represents many global cosmologies having particular qualities, colors and powers. The cosmic sphere illustrates various levels of "being" in the universe, as well as its structure and creation.
